Crispy Chicken Picnic Christmas Treat





Ingredients for the chicken marinate

1 medium sized whole chicken, wash and clean. Then cut in pieces as you like. 
2 medium sized eggs
2 tbsp of sea salt 
1 tsp of sugar 
2 tbsp of tandoori powder (unsalted with paprika) 
1 tsp of pepper powder
1 tsp of garlic paste 
1 tsp of ginger paste

Ingredients for the coatings
1½ cup bread crumbs 
3 tbsp of cornflour 
2 tbsp of tandoori powder 
1 tsp of sea salt 
1 tsp of pepper powder

Methods

Mix all the marinate ingredients together in a bowl. Let sit for 1 hour to let it marinate. 



Once the chickens are well marinated, take a large plate, mix the dry coatings ingredients well. 



Fill half of a large skillet with oil. Take each piece of marinated chicken, deep into the dry coating mixture then deep fry on medium to low flames until crispy and golden brown in color. 



Place an absorbable kitchen towel in a plate, use a kitchen tongs or slotted spoon to discard each fried chicken then place it into the towel to absorb excess of oil. Service with ketchup or chilli sauce.
