Healthy Cheddar Chicken Pizza Using Half Wheat Flour Recipe




I have made this yummy pizza with half portion (1 cup of wheat flour and 1 cup of plain flour) I have added few little thyme leaves mixed with chicken, this idea is adapted from my sister's yummy chicken pizza recipe and this small wonderful and healthy addition of thyme leaves has spread amazing taste to the cheddar chicken pizza.

Cheddar Pizza is as delicious as Mozzarella cheese Pizza, I like both!







I tried half portion of wheat flour for a much healthy recipe and the texture was great. Soft and tender...  






I just love this cheesy pizza, it is so easy to prepare and bake.




Ingredients for the dough:

1 cup plain flour/All purpose flour and other 1 cup of whole wheat flour
1/4 cup of milk powder
1 tsp sugar (white or brown, I have used the brown)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp dry yeast or instant dry yeast
1 tsp black pepper to dust
3/4 cup of water (you may need less)
1 tsp refined vegetable oil


Ingredients for the filling/Seasoning or garnishing

1/4 cup of grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of carrot - half fried thinly chopped in round shape
2 tbsp processed green peas
1/4 cup of chicken thinly slice in length and lightly fried until color turn white
2 tbsp thyme leaves
3 tbsp ketchup sauce mixed with 1 tsp chili sauce





Method --

Combined flour, milk powder, sugar, salt, yeast and pepper. Now add water, 2 tbsp at a time till you get a very sticky dough (be careful, your dough must not be dry, otherwise it will not be soft)

Dust with some flour all over the dough

In the meantime, preheat your oven 200 degrees C for 10 minutes maximum and start greasing your pizza mold well with margarine and sprinkle flour all over. I have used my favoring silicone mold for this cake, I just love silicone for its easy to wash and natural nonstick!

Flatten the dough with the palm of your hand or your can roll them as well but I prefer to flatten them as you can have difficulties by the stickiness in rolling them. Cover with a clean cloth and let raise for 30 minutes.


To garnish --

Add chilli sauce mixture, spread it gently all over each dough


Proceed all other ingredients layer by layer starting by half of the grated cheese and end with the other half of the grated cheese.


 Bake for exactly 30 minutes on 180 degree C. Let cool for 5 minutes.
